Laurin Federlein grew up in Germany. He moved to London in 1999 to study Fine Art at Central St. Martins College. His graduation film Children of the Country Road was screened at Festivals in Rotterdam, Paris, Hamburg, Prague and others. In 2006 he graduated in Fiction Direction at the NFTS with the film London. His first feature Build a Ship, Sail to Sadness will be premiered at the IFF Rotterdam in February 2007.
