The "Little Jaffna" district of Paris is the heart of a vibrant Tamil community, where Michael, a young police officer, is tasked with infiltrating a criminal group known for extortion and money laundering for separatist rebels in Sri Lanka. But as he gets deeper into the organisation, his loyalties will be tested in a relentless pursuit of one of Paris’s most hidden and powerful gangs.

Lawrence Valin made his film debut as an actor. He has appeared in a number of feature films, including Le Beau Monde (High Society) by Julie Lopes-Curval and Lola Pater by Nadir Moknèche. He played one of the lead roles in Hauts perches (Don’t Look Down) by Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau. In 2016, he joined the La Résidence programme at La Fémis and directed the short film Little Jaffna, selected at Premiers Plans in 2018 and for which he received the Grand Prix Cinébanlieue and the Prix Canal + at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival. In 2018, he shot his medium-length film The Loyal Man. Little Jaffna is his first feature film. The script was developed at the Ateliers d’Angers in 2019.
