Eric Oriot was born in 1972. After graduating from art school, he directed several films, including Mal d'Aurore, winner of the grand prize for research at the UNESCO international art film festival in 1996. As a student at the Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Art, he has also directed Plus tard (1998), shown at last year's Angers Film Festival.
