The film draws a picture of Lilli, a young opiate addict, by looking at her diaries in which she vividly conveys her feelings, perceptions and fantasies until the age of 20.

Oliwia Tonteri was born in 1978 and is of Polish origin. She studied documentary film directing at the Helsinki University of Art and Design - UIAH. Lilli is her third documentary film, after Laboratorywoman in 2004 and Kontrakt in 2005.
