Rachel Lang was born on 22 April 1984 in Strasbourg, France. After two years studying philosophy at the Université Marc Bloch, while simultaneously studying at drama school in Strasbourg, she went to the IAD, Institut des Arts de Diffusion, in Louvain La Neuve, Belgium, where she made Pour toi je ferai bataille (2010) which was selected for Premiers Plans in 2010, in the European School Films section. Les Navets blancs empêchent de dormir  (2011) is her first short after graduating and the second part of a trilogy started by the first, internationally recognised, short. She is currently developing her feature film, which will close the trilogy, and with which she took part in the Ateliers d'Angers in August 2011.
