During her art studies, Sophie Letourneur made work and investigations combining photos and texts. This research into the everyday and the ordinary made her want to go further and she went to Arts Déco in the video department. While there she worked on sound and image, making experimental films and documentaries. When she left school, she made portraits of groups of girls which take the form of short, the medium-length films, up to making La Vie au ranch (Chicks) which was presented at the Festival Premiers Plans in 2010. She is currently writing her new film, Gaby Baby Doll.
