Srdjan Dragojevic was born in 1963. He got a degree in Clinical Psychology in 1987. In 1986, he published Book of action poetry, a collection of poems that won the Branko Radicevich Award (the main prize for Poetry in the former Yugoslavia). In 1988, he published a second collection of poems, Uncle Blacksmith shoes the baby. In 1992, he graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in Production. In 1995, he published his third book, "Read a book once in a while so that you don*t make a fool of yourself in a group". His graduation film, "We are not angels" (1992), won many awards, among which is the Grand Prix from the Pérouse Festival in Italy, and was very successful in the former Yugoslavia. "Pretty Village Pretty Flame" is his second feature film.
