Born in Russia in 1989, Anton Sazonov obtained a degree in economics before graduating from the Pro Arte School of Art Journalism. He also finished a directing course at the Moscow Film School, in the workshop of Alexey Popogrebsky. The short film The Impasse (2017) is his graduation work from film school. Since then he has had a directing internship with Kirill Serebrennikov while staging the play Little Tragedies by Alexander Pushkin at the Gogol Centre Theatre. Sazonov is currently working on his first feature film.
