David is the site manager on a skyscraper being built at La Défense. But with insurmountable delays, incessant pressure and overworked teams he lives and breathes urgency. When he meets Victoria, the ambitious HR director of a multinational, he is immediately seduced by her audacity and freedom. Between his passionate relationship and the challenges of his job, David finds himself trapped in a system that is beyond his control.

Sylvain Desclous studied political science, law and literature. After working in a number of professions and teaching French in Laos, he went on to work in publishing and then organising seminars for major companies. At the same time, he made several short and medium-length films (including Mon héros, nominated for a César in 2016) and his first feature film, Vendeur (Whose Your Daddy?), which was released in 2016. This was followed by two documentaries, La Peau dure and Valentina, à l'Est, and La Campagne de France, a feature-length documentary in 2022 and De Grandes espérances (Grand Expectations) in 2023 starring Benjamin Lavernhe and Rebecca Marder.
