Two short stories, like two novellas, that only the same territory can unite. A young woman is getting ready to kill an animal. One summer's night, in a village square, somewhere in the Mediterranean, there is a dance. A young man, Simon, comes along, unaware he is going to spend the last moments of his life there.

Thierry de Peretti is a theatre actor and director. Among his many productions are Retour au Désert, prix de la révélation théâtrale 2000-2001 from the Syndicat national de la critique, Valparaiso and Richard II. He won the Villa Médicis Hors-les-Murs in 2001. In the cinema he has acted in L'Eté Indien by Alain Raoust, Le Silence by Orso Miret and Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train by Patrice Chéreau. He is also a radio producer and director. Le jour de ma mort is his first film.
