Le Genou de Claire

A few weeks away from his wedding, Jérôme is spending his vacation by the Lac d'Annecy where he has been put in charge of selling a family villa. By chance, he runs into Aurora, an old friend from Romania, who is staying at the house of a common acquaintance. He pays her visit. The daughter of the house, Laura, a strong-minded fifteen-year-old, seems to notice his charm. Aurora who is a novelist, discovers in this romance the inspiration for her next book. Finding himself with nothing else to do, Jérôme gets caught up in the game and sees Laura regularly. The arrival of Claire, Laura's elder half-sister, shakes him up in yet another way. While Laura abandons him for a free and easy mannered frivolous young man of her own age (the adolescent Luchini), his attraction toward Claire becomes obsessional.
