Of Polish descent, Jan Czarlewski was born in Paris on the 17 June 1988. He studied Cinema at the Sorbonne. He is now completing a cinema course at the ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d'art de Lausanne). He has directed two films: Tomek, a caustic comedy, and more recently, L'ambassadeur et moi.
