L'Afrance
Alain Gomis
El Hadj, a young man from Senegal, temporarily leaves behind his family to go study in Paris. Once he graduates, he plans to participate in his country's development and follow the words of the heroes of the African decolonisation. But his convictions are challenged when he finds himself an illegal alien after his visa expires. Torn between his desire to remain illegally in France and the desire to return to Senegal, he struggles to accept the man he has become and feels like he is a traitor...
