In close up, Mickaël seems to move in a nebula of desires: find his lost pig, get his organic farming certification, stop being lonely in a desert of rapeseed. But from afar, Mickaël looks more like a magnet attracted to Paul.

Marine Levéel studied fine arts before entering ESAV in Toulouse. After her studies, she gained experience at professional film shoots, but is today focused on her own writing and directing projects. From comics to films, a constant element in her work is the importance given to the natural environment, in a relationship between the intimate and the sensual. La Traction des pôles is her first produced short film. The screenplay was read last year as part of the short film screenplay readings in partnership with ADAMI.
