Born in 1967, Emmanuelle Bercot studied Dramatic Arts from 1985 to 1994. She has worked as an actress for theatre and cinema, and then studied at FEMIS where she made a documentary and a short film, Les Vacances , which received the Prix Spécial du Jury at Cannes in 1997. La Puce is her graduation film.
