Jean-Bernard Marlin was born in 1979 in Chambéry. From 2001 to 2004, he studied at the ENS Louis Lumière in the cinema department. While there he made several short documentaries, including Les correspondances , and drama such as Corps métisses , Les cicatrices . He is also a scriptwriter and has written a drama feature, Le démon. Benoît Rambourg won his diploma from the ENS Louis Lumière in the cinema department in 2004. He has already written and directed several films, including Alice and Abîmes. He has also worked on the images of several shorts. La peau dure is their first co-directing project and the first short for both of them after graduation.
