Gabrielle Cariolle was born in 1979. She began her studies at ENSAD in 1998. In 2003, she made a video for the TV program "Karambolage" and worked on the animation short Des Câlins dans les cuisines by Sébastien Laudenbach. In 2004, she reworked and finished La nature a horreur du vide, a film she started at ENSAD.
