During her 5 years studying at the Arts Décoratifs de Paris, Raphaëlle Martinez experimented with various animation techniques such as cut-out paper, cotton, painting, crayon, and ink. She made video-mapping shows projected onto mosques for the 2018 and 2019 Sharjah Light festivals. She has worked under the direction of Pénéloppe de Bozzi and Mathieu Lemarié on films for exhibitions at the Palais de la découverte and the Cité des Sciences. In 2019 she made her graduation film, Le Roi des serpents, inspired by texts from medieval bestiaries.
