Exhausted by a sterile and decadent lifestyle, Leopold S. decides to leave the city to go and live in the countryside where he hopes to find plenitude, purity and other ideals. He falls in love with a young epileptic girl whose beauty dazzles him, and quickly discovers that human relations are not much better there.

Jaak Kilmi was born in Tallinn in 1973. Since 1991, he has worked as cameraman and co-director for the Estonian television. Since 1992, he has studied at the Cinema and Video department of the Pedagogical University of Tallinn where he has already made two short films: Aguli Ellinor, présented at Angers in 1994, and Ta-Ram Ta-Ram 1995. Külla Tuli is his graduation film.
