Maciej Gorski was born in Warsaw in 1971. He first graduated from the University of Warsaw in Internationals Relations in 1996, before graduating from the Lodz National Film School in Scriptwriting in 1998. Also completing a third degree in Humanities at the Polish Academy of Science in that same year, Gorski finally enrolled at the WRiTV in Katowice. Canal is his graduation film.
