A group of friends from the suburbs have to go to the barracks in Versailles for the "citizens' service day". One of them, Chris, arrives too late and wants to go back home, but Mom, a good-fornothing from their housing project convinces him to spend the day at the Château de Versailles.

After studying philosophy Basile Doganis made a documentary on Japan Kami Hito E – On The Edge (2008) and worked as first assistant director for Jean-Pierre Limosin on his film Young Yakuza (Cannes 2007). For a time he was a script doctor for Celluloid Dreams and at the same time he wrote the screenplay of his first fiction feature, Entre les lignes, which was selected for the Talent Project Market of the 2010 Berlinale 2010 and won the Script Development Fund from the Amiens Film Festival in the same year. After a residency at the Binger Filmlab in 2011, he wrote and directed a fiction short, Le Gardien de son frère (Festival Premiers Plans 2012), followed by a second in 2014, Journée d'appel (selected for Aix-en-Provence, Clermont-Ferrand, Sydney). He is currently developing a fiction feature with Elzévir Films entitled Le Temps des émeutes.
