Jetske Lieber
Early January, twenty-something Willem awakes with heartbreak, with some existential questions. Who is he actually, as a person without his ex? Without his trusted clutch, Willem decides to take on a new form, by looking for himself in other
people. He struggles through birthday parties, dark dancefloors and climate action training. There, he changes identity like a chameleon. Until Willem realises he will have to find his own colour.

Jetske Lieber was born in Nijmegen in 1999. In her work she looks for discomfort, sincere attempts at connection, the beauty of failure and love. She hopes her films will make the world look just a little better, and perhaps a little sweeter. Her third-year fiction film Laundry (2023) was selected for Go Short International Short Film Festival. In her first year, she made the short documentary Had Je Me Maar (2021) where, through street interviews, she tries to answer the question: how do you heal a broken heart? She graduated with the film January (2024), which won an award and got selected in several festivals.
