After completing a Masters degree in history and a DEA post-graduate degree in cinema studies, Alix de Maistre, born in 1964, went on to work as a assistant to directors, followed by stints in continuity; until 1998 she supervised the post-production of animated films. Since that time, she has concentrated her efforts on writing short and feature-length films, and in 2000 completed the model for the feature film Les assiégés. It's Monday Again is her first short film.
