On the screen, Ukrainians try to live their lives despite the invasion of their country. In the soundtrack, there are intercepted conversations between Russian soldiers and their families. Intercepted superimposes the world of the destroyer and the destroyed to reveal the terrible reality of this war.

Filmmaker, writer and photographer Oksana Karpovych was born in 1990 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated in Cultural Studies from the Mohyla Academy in Kyiv before studying film production at Concordia University in Montreal. In 2015, she made her first short film, Lost, and in 2019 directed her first feature film, Ne khvylyuysya, dveri vidchynyatsya (Don’t Worry, The Doors Will Open). Her second feature, Intercepted, was screened at the 2024 Berlinale, where it won an award.
