While at the same time pursuing their studies in performing arts, since 1996 Sophie Kovess-Brun and Erwan Augoyard have worked together producing screenplays, also working as visual artists and video directors on several projects. In 1996, they won the Itinérances competition at the Alès festival for their screenplay "Déviation" (shot the following year on Betacam). Sophie Kovess-Brun has also done several photo shoots in Africa. The pair is currently completing their doctorate, and Inside – Outside is their first short fiction film.
