For a weekend, Mathilde returns to her childhood home. Her mother, Patricia, is getting ready to celebrate her 65th birthday surrounded by her family and friends. It's been three years since Mathilde and Patricia last spoke. Could it be that love is not made of grand gestures or promises but of small fragile steps towards forgiveness?

Valentine Lapière is a Belgian actress and director. She graduated in 2009 from the IAD in dramatic interpretation. A true jack-of-all-trades, she acts, assists, writes and directs. About cinema, she has learned and experimented a lot, mainly through short films. "Je suis rentrée" is her second project as a director. An exciting adventure that makes her want to continue to persevere in this way. "En attendant l'été", her first feature film, is currently in development.
