Élisabeth Caravella is a French video artist who lives and works in Paris. Self-taught by nature, she was introduced to video, net art and CGI in her teenage years. In 2007 her interest in digital arts led her to follow an artistic course at the Ecole européenne supérieure de l'image (EESI). While there she made Coup de fil anonyme, an experimental film animated using Photoshop. In 2010, she became interested in motion capture and stereoscopy and directed Pianocktail, a short 3D animation film that won first prize at Hors Normes Film at the Géode (Paris). She continued her studies at the Arts Décoratifs de Paris and directed Il n'y a pas de route, a self-portrait video mixing documentary and installation art. In 2012, she entered Le Fresnoy and met Miguel Gomes and Robert Henke (alias Monolake). In her first year, she directed the short fiction film Une pâte brisée, une histoire sans drame and Howto, a video tutorial adapted for the cinema. In 2015, she directed Hypersensitive, a new photoshop film inspired by the American series of the 1990s.
