Anaïs Caura and Bulle Tronel studied together at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (ENSAD) in animated film and set design. They graduated in June 2011, and are part of the Collectif Babouchka. How Fear Came is the second short movie of Anaïs Caura as co-director (L'Ami vomi 2009 with Pierre Mazingarbe and Sandra Rivaud). Bulle Tronel has worked as a production designer for short movies, clips and advertising, and How Fear Came is her first film as a co-director.
