Jessica Hausner
Irène, the new receptionist at a luxury hotel in the Austrian Alps, discovers that the employee she is replacing disappeared under mysterious circumstances. She wants to find out more but comes up against the indifference and hostility of her colleagues and realizes that her own life may be in danger...

Jessica Hausner was born in Vienna, Austria in 1972. She studied directing at the Vienna Film Academy where, in 1996, she made the short film Flora, which won the Leopard de Demain at the Locarno Film Festival. Inter-view, her graduation film, won the Cinéfondation Jury Prize at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. Two years later, Lovely Rita, her first feature film was screened at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard official selection before being distributed in twenty countries. Flora and Inter-view were both screened at the Premiers Plans Festival. This year, Jessica Hausner is returning with her second feature film, Hotel. Selected in Cannes last year in "Un certain regard" section, the film will be screened in Angers with its new editing version.
