Jakub Sommer
Four outcasts, four philosophies, four lives in Prague in 1999. Mr. Sobotka earns his living by posing nude for art classes. Milan lives on the street and plays the violin. Martin plays every night in a transvestite show. The Prague Soir salesman continues wandering the streets. There are 214 days left before the year 2000.

Born in Prague in 1976, Jakub Sommer began studying documentary filmmaking in 1996 at the FAMU. His first film, Zivot na Hrbitove, won numerous prizes and was selected in the Angers Festival in 1999. Homo Sapiens 2000 is his graduation film.
