Eline Gehring is a Berlin-based film director born in 1984. Gehring began her career in 2006 working as a DP/camera operator and editor for German news reporting in Paris, Prague, Kiev and Berlin. She also shot a documentary for the German Bundestag, a story about a youth congress in St Petersburg, and a documentary for Deutsche Welle about youth in Cairo. In South Africa, from 2009 to 2010, Gehring directed a series of public interest promotional spots and public relations films for various NGOs, including the Centre of Creative Education in Cape Town. Since then, she has directed and edited a number of short films in Berlin, including Under 13, Seoul, and Holly, and has several more films in development. Gehring is currently pursuing an advanced degree in film directing from, Berlin's prestigious film academy, the DFFB.
