Hidden is based on an interview with twelve-year-old Giancarlo, a hidden refugee in Sweden. By combining the actual interview with animations, the directors wanted to create a space where you can listen and absorb the story of a refugee child in a new way.

Born in 1968, Hanna Heilborn was educated at the New York Film School and learned scriptwriting at Stockholm's Dramatic Institute. Today she teaches at one of Stockholm's leading design schools and manages, with David Aronowitsch, the production company Story AB. Born in 1964, David Aronowitsch studied at the National Film School in Poland, as well as studying architecture in Stockholm. He has directed documentaries for Swedish national television. Aronowitsch and Hanna Heilborn co-own the production house Story AB. Mats Johansson, born in 1968, is the co-founder of ACNE, a group of companies that work in fashion, film and advertising, and that create characters for television, films and video games.
