Julie leaves Romania to rob a bank in Vienna. She meets Paolo, an Italian, who falls in love with her, but they don't manage to follow through on their feelings. In the practically deserted city, they commit a string of bank robberies. Over there, money shines brighter than the moon...

Virgil Widrich was born in Salzburg in 1967. In 1980, he was given the gift of a Super-8 camera, with which he shot three films that same year, one of which was an adaptation of a Roald Dahl story. The following year, he tried shooting an animation film. When he was 17 years old, he shot a feature-length science-fiction film with the Super-8, entitled "Vom Geist der Zeit". After various experiences in production and distribution (films by Peter Greenaway, organisation of film retrospectives), Widrich returned to directing with an experimental short film, "tx-transform". This was in turn followed by a feature-length film, "Heller als der Mond", whose script was awarded the City of Salzburg's Screenplay Prize in 1997.
