Forbach
Claire Burger
Samuel, a young actor, lives in Paris. He comes back to Forbach, where he grew up, to receive a distinction from the Mayor (Forbach is a town in the east of France, which was living off the coal mines and is facing economic and social difficulties). It is also the opportunity for him to see his mother and brother.

Claire Burger worked for two years as a journalist/reporter in the Lorraine region of France where she comes from. She then went on to la fémis to study editing. In parallel to her studies she has made magazines for the channel Pink TV. At la fémis, she made her first shorts, Forbach, then Toute ma vie j'ai rêvé, presented in the Figures Libres section this year. Forbach came second in the Prix de la Cinéfondation, at the Cannes Festival in 2008.
