It is Santiago's birthday. That morning, the whole falimy, his wife, his mother and his three children wait anxiously for him to get up. His appearance in the kitchen is happily celebrated and breakfast is eaten with a great joy. It all change when the presents are given. Santiago does not appreciate the present his youngest son has given him, and he starts to blame each relative. Santiago no doubt dreams about an ideal birthday with an ideal family... How could his loved ones ever be up to his expectations ?

Born in Madrid in May 1968, Fernando Leon has a degree in sound and image from the Complutense University in Madrid. His first short, "Sirenas", brought him to the attention of the spanish film festivals. He has writen several feature screenplays including "Los Hombres Siempren Mienten", "Corazon Loco", "Por Fin Solos". He also writes television series. Before making "Familia", his first feature, he worked in the documentary field and he has also published several short stries.
