Despite the single name, Jones is actually a duo of directors, both from London and with the same glasses. Everyone's Going to Die was well received by British critics. Jones are currently working on their second feature."We met in an advertising agency where we were both working. We have also made several clips. It is a field where people often leave you much more artistic freedom and this enabled us to experiment, to define our style. The main challenge, for us who were used to short formats, was to invent a story which could hold up for 90 minutes. So we started writing imposing ourselves some very simple constraints, given our budget, which we planned to be inexistent: two characters. Action taking place over one or two days, to avoid any continuity problems. Natural sets. One single town.A platonic love story. We really wanted to avoid the "First English Film" thing. Very often, to be noticed when making a first film, the tendency is to tell a story which is rooted in a harsh social reality. This is particularly true in England. We wanted to make a film which has charm, which can make us smile, and above all which can make audiences smile". Jones
