Downhill City follows the lives of six people in Berlin whose destinies are intertwined: a guitarist from Finland dreaming of success, a writer who sells pizza, a young rebel just released from prison, a married woman looking to escape the daily routine, and a kick-boxer who thinks only of his career, neglecting his fiancée, who becomes more and more distant...

Hannu Salonen was born in Finland in 1972. He has directed several short documentary and fiction films, as well as a music video. He studied at the Berlin Academy of Film and Television (DFFB). Downhill City is his first feature-length film.
