Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, in 1988, Keerthigan Sivakumar arrived in Switzerland as a refugee in 2009. A graduate in visual communication (2016), he obtained his bachelor's in film from ECAL in 2021. His workshop film, Jegan, won the Technès Award (Canada) and his graduation film, Doosra, won the excellence in visual arts and design award from the Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale (2021).
