Paddy Considine was born in Staffordshire in 1974. He studied drama, where he met Shane Meadows. After that he went into photography, working on one of Meadows' films. Meadows also took him on as an actor in the feature A Room for Romeo Brass (1999). This performance brought him recognition and a role in the film The Last Resort (2000), for which he won an award at the Thessalonika Festival. Since then, he has continued performing, alongside actors such as Russell Crowe or Renée Zellweger, or even more recently in the The Bourne Ultimatum. Dog Altogether is his first short.
