Born in 1967 in Walenstadt, Franz-Josef Holzer lives in Geneva since 1992. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as cameraman and co-producer for feature-length fictions and documentaries. However, he has written and directed independent and experimental videos, super-8, 16mm and DV films since 1986, including Freundshaft in 1988, Das Haus in 1989 and Napoléon in 1990. Deux is his first short fiction.
