Yuan Chang has an inferiority complex from his childhood; he is so introverted and sensitive that he can easily get hurt by a simple careless word. At middle age, although he got success in both career and family, all of this still can't take away his inferiority complex. One day he came across a former colleague, Xiaoling Zhuang,who he used to court before as he always dreamed of being her outstanding boyfriend. This illusion drives his desire and feeling of failure. After that encounter, Yuan Chang's inferiority complex and Xiaoling Zhuang's superiority complex dramatically replaced each other, letting Yuan Chang have another look upon his former life...

Weiran Yang, was born in Jiangsu province and grew up in Changsha, Hunan province, and graduated from Hunan Normal University and majored in oil painting. He is one of the representative writers of"1970s", contemporary artist, movie critic, scriptwriter and poet. He has experienced a lot of roles , as journalist, host, producer, coordinator and so on. Now he is the vice president of hunan Letian Movie media Co., Desired Zone is his first short film as a writer and director.
