Doroteya Droumeva was born in 1978 in Bulgaria. After 2 years studying of Sociology and Philosophy at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsky", she went to Berlin in 1999 to study Psychology at Humboldt University. In 2005 she started studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb).
