Daria Kashcheeva was born in 1986 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. She studied animation at FAMU in Prague. Her student films were selected in numerous international festivals. Her film To Accept won the Nespresso Talents competition in Cannes in 2017. Daughter premiered at the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, where it received the Cristal for Best Student Film. It also won the International Film Schools Student Academy Award in the Animation category.
