At the end of most love stories, the handsome young boy marries the pretty young girl. They are young and are going to live happily ever after. This epilogue of happiness is the prologue to this story. Rita is 19, and does not need the compliments of Paulo, her future husband, to know she is beautiful. However, being wanted is not enough - she wants to be loved. Rita, nevertheless is too adult to ignore the fact that love does not exist. She knows that only proofs of love counts. As a game, she decides to put love to the test and sacrifices her most beautiful asset, the long hair, which Paulo is crazy about. This irreversible act brings the fairy tale to an end, but Paulo and Rita have the length of a film to invent a new storyof a couple.
