Born in 1981, in South Korea, Jumi Yoon studied Design in Dong-Duk University in Seoul. She also graduated with a diploma in Fine Arts from the European School of Visual Arts in Poitiers. She ended her studies in la Poudrière where she directed Thomas et Joël, Allô, Génie ! (a film commissioned for Canal J Television) and Conte de faits, her graduation film (2011).
