Made for the Cinéma de notre temps series, this portrait of Aki Kaurismaki takes us ito the life and cinematic universe of the Finnish director. Adopting the director's own contemplative style, the film employs static shots and slow, descriptive tracking shots. It was directed by Guy Girard, who had previously done a portrait of David Lynch for Cinéma de notre temps in 1989.
