Michal Hogenauer was born in 1984 in the Czech Republic. He studied advertising graphics at the School of Applied Arts in Prague. He has been studying film direction at FAMU in Prague since 2004 where he made four shorts films and he has also written a bachelor's thesis on Michael Haneke‘s film language. He now works as a freelance graphist, director and music journalist. He is also editor-in-chief of an audiovisual net magazine defekt.cz
