Julian Rosefeldt was born in Munich, Germany in 1965. He lives in Berlin where he makes films and video installations. These individual and group works have been exhibited in various contemporary art museums in Europe (Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin, Tate Gallery of Modern Art London, Centre Pompidou, etc.) and in the Americas (San Francisco, Salvador de Bahia, etc.). Asylum is his first short film.
