Marina de Van has already made, during her studies at Femis, two short films which drew much attention: Bien sous tous rapports 1996 and Retention 1997. She has also played in two of François Ozon's films, both distributed in cinemas: Regarde la mer 1997 and Sitcom 1998. Alias is her first out-of-school film.
