“Somewhere between Chekhov's cruel melancholy about a disappearing world and Lucrecia Martel's family and social conflicts, the director of the excellent Estiu 1993 (Summer 1993) has produced a second film with great finesse. Through the eyes of the youngest children, whose carefree summer games are threatened by the adult crisis, her camera captures the scale of the unfolding drama. The film won a Golden Bear at the last Berlinale.” (Xavier Leherpeur; L'Obs)
